I had a very lovely meal here with a dear friend of mine. I hadn’t seen my friend since before the pandemic so we were talking for a long long time. While after I meal. We were asked if we could hurry it along and I responded very poorly. This restaurant and it’s staff are a class act. The food is spectacular. The tables were spaced appropriately. And I will be a better customer the next time I come in.
It's small, but welcoming and comfortable. We ate at the bar so I could watch the bar tender doing his thing. The fool was simply stunning. The big dare was a tortilla with salt cod, and it ended up being our #1, though it had to fight with the anchovies on toast with some magical thing they claim is butter for that honor. My friend lives in the neighborhood, and she calls it her "neighborhood spot". I would be there every night!
We are visiting from Florida and decided to give Etta a try. The atmosphere, service & food is incredible. Our server, Gina recommended the crispy chicken sandwich and the pizza. We ordered both and they were so good that I plan on coming back on our next trip. The mimosas for the table are the bomb, especially when you are the only Mimosa drinker at the table.
Fabulous and highly recommended. My wife and I were hungry for pizza plus a good salad and when on-line searching, realized that we are so close to Etta in Bucktown - having heard good things, we decided to try Etta (though takeout). I ordered the 'Fire Pie' sausage, which is wood fired, savory, a bit (but not too much) spicy - and not greasy as many pizzas can be. It was the perfect pizza for the night.
And the chopped Etta Salad, not only was perfect but exceeded our expectations. It is indescribably delicious and we so want to get more! We will order again - and look forward to eating there soon enough.
Got Etta for pickup on Thanksgiving. Food was delicious. Included bottle of wine. Nice assortment of sides. For the price, we thought portions on some items a little small considering it was suppose to serve 4 people. Turkey was delicious and the perfect amount. Would have been nice to have a side of gravy. Sweet potato skins were very tough but combination was good. Brussels sprouts were our favorites. Quick and easy pickup. Nice that they did this for the holiday. Overall very tasty and looking forward to dining in person again.
